Marrakech is the natural gateway to southern Morocco. As soon as the red city walls are behind us, the road starts climbing towards the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m) and the scenery changes by the hour: mud-brick villages clinging to the mountainside, palm groves, earthen kasbahs and, at last, the sand.

These tours leave from your hotel or riad in Marrakech and are designed to make the most of the journey, not just the destination. With two days, the Zagora desert is within reach; with three or more you will get to the great dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, and can either return to Marrakech or carry on to Fez.
